\n<\/span>We are just purchasing $9,000 worth of protection gear for seniors and people with compromised health who should wear masks if they have anyone, even family, in their homes and for local workers who are not adequately protected.\u00a0 Last Saturday we also worked with a coalition of local groups to deliver food to 500 families tomorrow.\u00a0 Building on the Myrtle Food Pantry, One Community and Brooklyn Partners developed the capacity to deliver to 200 seniors and other vulnerable people in public housing who are homebound due to the quarantine.

as you probably know, doctors and nurses, especially in emergency rooms, are working crazy hours right now, to the point where breaking for meals has become difficult. spoke with an administrator\u00a0at brooklyn hospital, on Dekalb Ave. who said that in addition to the fund donations; the most useful and quick donations at the moment are individually-wrapped snack bars (kind bars, clif bars, etc.) and bottles of water. if you would like to drop off anything, go to the lobby entrance at 121 Dekalb ave., then call 718.541.7710 and a staffer will come outside to accept your donation. thanks for considering.<\/div>\n
