Both meetings are scheduled for 6:00 pm and will be conducted virtually using Webex.<\/p>\n<h2 align=\"left\">Standard Meeting Features<\/h2>\n<p align=\"left\">All committee meetings of Community Board 2 begin with the approval of the agenda, introduction of the committee officers and an invitation for the public to comment on any matters being considered for a vote. The meetings include the approval of the previous month&#8217;s meeting minutes, a chairperson\u2019s report, other business, and a community forum during which the public may speak.<\/p>\n<h2 align=\"left\">Accomodations<\/h2>\n<p align=\"left\">All in-person meetings of Community Board 2 are held at locations that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The proposed work has already received LPC approval.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b>Transportation and Public Safety<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Transportation and Public Safety Committee will receive presentations on June 18, 2020 from the Department of Transportation (DOT) on improvements to an existing bike lane on Smtih\/Jay Street and the proposed installation of two temporary bike lanes; on 4th Avenue, between 1st Street and Flatbush Avenue, and on Navy Street, between Flushing Avenue and Sands Street.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Transportation Alternatives will also propose changes on the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade to create more space for pedestrians and cyclists. Committee members may also ask DOT about plans to install a mid-block pedestrian crossing on Adams Street, between Tillary and Sands streets, and for a busway on Jay Street, between Fulton and Tillary streets.
