Dear Neighbors.
Public School 11 in Brooklyn (Clinton Hill) is in desperate need of your financial assistance. I was just informed by our school’s principal that there are 49 children in danger of not being able to go on our school fifth grade trip to Washington D.C. on May 9thand May 10th due to financial hardship. The 49 students consist of homeless and scholars from very low income families that qualify for free lunch. We urgently need to raise $12,250 in order for all our scholars to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. The cost for this overnight trip is $250 per student.
At PS 11, we strive for excellence. This was rewarded in 2014, when we were recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. Beyond that, the administration, teachers and Parent Teacher Association take seriously the responsibility of being part of a larger interconnected world to our students and families.
Our PTA is a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible. Checks can be mailed to our school or via our website at

Our address is 419 Waverly Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11238. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Cynthia McKnight
