Community Board 2 (CB2) will hold its monthly executive and education committee meetings next week, on Monday and Wednesday respectively. Both meetings are scheduled for 6:00 pm.

All committee meetings of Community Board 2 begin with the approval of the agenda and introduction of the committee officers. The meetings include the approval of the previous month’s meeting minutes, a chairperson’s report, other business and a community forum during which the public may speak.

The sidewalk in front of 200 Clinton Street, where a Link NYC kiosk is proposed for in front of the Mr. Right Barber Shop, is approximately 18 feet wide. If installed, the kiosk would be approximately 37 feet from the southern façade of the building.

º     16 Court Street — Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District — Application is to replace an existing sign cabinet with a new sign consisting of non-illuminated channel letters mounted on an aluminum panel, replace an illuminated beacon with a window vinyl beacon, and install a vinyl window sign listing the services offered.
º     29 Joralemon Street — Brooklyn Heights Historic District — Application is to construct in brick a full-width rear yard extension at the garden and parlor levels, with a terrace on top, to align with the two-story extension at an adjacent property, 31 Joralemon Street.
º     122 Montague Street — Brooklyn Heights Historic District — Application is to install a sign band above the entry doors and a bracket sign on the left (east) side of the building, remove the door trim on the entry door to the upper floors, construct new decorative cornice and pilasters around both entry doors, install awnings above the second floor windows, remove a non-historic fence, and install a new garbage can screen with a planter on top.
º     244 Adelphi Street — Fort Greene Historic District — Application is to demolish an existing rear deck and construct a full-height (four stories) rear yard extension of varying depth with a deck at the parlor floor, with stairs to the yard, and rooftop deck at the third floor. The replacement of the existing, non-historic and in violation front door with a new door to match the neighboring properties will be approved by LPC at staff level.
º     165 Columbia Heights — Brooklyn Heights Historic District — Application is to raise the elevation of the roof of the non-historic third floor, install a deck and parapet rail above the second floor, replace windows in all façades, and modify the paving in front of the building.
